Water

Make sure to prepare tea with spring or filtered water for the best flavor. Tap water can contain minerals and chemicals that impact the overall flavor of a tea. I tend to use Poland Spring because I think that it makes a great cup of tea.

Tea

Whether a true tea from the Camellia sinensis plant or an herbal infusion, try to choose high-quality, expertly-processed products. High-quality teas and herbal infusions tend to have fuller, less mechanically-processed, leaves and plant byproducts. A high-quality tea may last for many infusions whereas a lower quality tea may only last for one infusion. The amount of tea used really depends on your preferences. If you’d like a stronger cup of tea, use more tea.

Time

The steeping time of tea is dictated by the amount of tea used and the temperature of the water used.
